Seeking feedback: Building BitJim – a smart contract platform for long-term token locking, staking, automated profit-taking, and lending

I’m in the early stages of exploring and planning a new investment platform called BitJim, and I would really appreciate feedback and insights from experienced smart contract developers and blockchain architects here.

The idea in short:
BitJim aims to help everyday users build long-term wealth and avoid emotional mistakes (FOMO/FUD) through a unique feature we call Magic Locks:

  • Users can lock their tokens (e.g., ETH, BTC, USDC) for 1–10 years.
  • While assets are locked, users can also earn passive income through integrated staking on supported tokens.
  • When certain price milestones are reached (e.g., X10, X50, X100), a portion is automatically sold (scalping), but the rest remains locked for the chosen period.
  • There will also be an integrated trading bot (AI-driven) to automate DCA and other strategies within the locked funds.
  • The vision also includes the possibility for users to borrow against their locked assets without selling them.

My questions for you:

  • What do you think of this idea from a technical and user perspective?
  • Are there existing solutions or smart contract patterns (preferably OpenZeppelin-based) that could serve as a foundation for Magic Locks, the automated profit-taking, staking, and the lending feature?
  • What would be the main technical challenges or risks in building something like this?
  • Any advice regarding security, gas optimization, or user experience for such a system?

I’m open to all kinds of feedback and discussion. If anyone finds this concept interesting and would like to contribute or collaborate, I’d be happy to connect!

Thank you in advance for your insights!
