Introduce yourself here!

Hi, I’m John Paul Cas, a mobile and smart contract developer from XLD Tech Labs. We’re working on erc20 and erc721 that can be used to buy prepaid airtime, openzeppelin libraries, and abstract contracts is a big help in my studies :bowing_man:‍♂

I’m a blockchain enthusiast and navigating on Defi projects. I’m working on LiquidityMining/Staking :pick:

Let’s connect on telegram or LinkedIn @johnpaulcas

Nice meeting you all!

Hello everyone, my name is Quentin, I live in France in a town called Limoges,

I am still a young web and mobile developer, enthusiastic and motivated! I am looking for work, a work-study program to complete a new diploma and an increase in skills,

I have been working in the Blockchain since 2016, COO of StakeShare (SSX) since 2018, It encouraged me to become a developer, I have been learning solidity and the ethereum environment for a few days already,

I have high hopes in learning more, to specialize in blockchain and to carry out a personal project that is close to my heart (and professional I hope!). Ethereum seems to me to be a very good option for that,

I’m discovering OpenZeppelin today and I’m going on an adventure now, I think this community is of quality and the project is very relevant, happy to be able to learn with you I hope,

Excuse me for my English, in the heart of improvement :v:

Hi @johnpaulcas,

Welcome to the community

Thanks for introducing yourself.

Interested to know how you are tackling gas prices. Whether you are using a side chain or a layer 2 solution?

Also curious whether ERC1155 (https://docs.openzeppelin.com/contracts/3.x/erc1155) was a viable option for air time vouchers?

If you haven’t already, you may want to look at OpenZeppelin Defender to automate your Ethereum operations: https://openzeppelin.com/defender/

Hi Quentin (@Sheitak),

Welcome to the community and Solidity development

I suggest looking through: Solidity learning resources. I think the OpenZeppelin Learn guides are a great place to start.

You may want to track and share your coding journey: https://forum.openzeppelin.com/tag/coding-journey.

Interested to hear about your personal project when you are ready to share something.

Hi @abcoathup, we're not using erc721 for the prepaid airtime, our erc721 is used to some other aspect but we used the opengsn relayer so the user can pay the gas fee via token, for conversion we used uniswapv2 router :grinning: We're on the process of token audit

Sure, we're gonna take a look on OpenZeppelin Defender

Thank you also for the great worked and support on the community @abcoathup all my question before answered really really fast :grinning: I am continues learning solidity and for sure will asked a lot of question soon :joy:

Hi @alexsyo,

Thanks for introducing yourself. It is either very early or very late for you.

Nice to see NFT marketplaces on xDAI. I think there is plenty of space for experimentation with NFTs on xDAI.

Given your project, What is your favorite collectible?

I have drawn a picture using https://nifty.ink and have some Austin Griffith NFTs but need to play some more on xDAI with NFTs.

If you haven’t already, you may want to look at OpenZeppelin Defender for automating your Ethereum operations. Defender supports xDAI network. https://openzeppelin.com/defender/

There is also a weekly webinar introducing OpenZeppelin Defender: https://zoom.us/webinar/register/8516110845373/WN_lZMCLrghTEaw5uNq8XaYoQ

Quarantine time is different than regular time  I still need to find my favourite art NFT but I am more interested on the possibilities that it can unlock for gaming especially with the fees on the xDai chain.

Good to know that defender supports xDai by the way, I will definitely have a look.

Hi @MajoGro,

Thanks for introducing yourself.

I’m impressed that you are learning whilst the kids are asleep.

I suggest looking through: Solidity learning resources.

As a Windows users I suggest looking at Windows Subsystem for Linux 2 (WSL2) as much of the ecosystem is developed for and tested with Linux.

Hi,
no way. Now, however, I am embarrassed to waste your time with a typo.
Thanks for helping me out.
Now I studying a Ethereum learning resources to learn the basics.

Hi @MajoGro,

Typos happen.
The ecosystem is still very early, so it isn’t always easy to see what is causing a problem.

Hi there! I’m a developer from Brazil, still a blockchain rookie, trying out some ideas and fun contract experiments. See you around!

Hi there! My name is Oleg Abrosimov. I’m from Novosibirsk, Russia and I’m CEO of the ethereumico.io where we are using openzeppelin contracts a lot. I expect to find new brilliant ideas for smart contracts here. Hope to share my own (maybe not so brilliant though  )

Hi. My name’s Brian. I’m from Ireland. Became obsessed with blockchain/decentralization in college, where my thesis involved blockchain research and creating a dApp on Ethereum. It was a lot of fun and a great learning experience. I recently graduated, and since then I’ve been trying to learn as much as possible with a view to getting a job in the industry. I came to learn :slightly_smiling_face:.

I wasn’t able to access your website, I got: ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS

Depending on the services that you offer, you may want to look at OpenZeppelin Defender to automate your Ethereum operations: https://openzeppelin.com/defender/

Hi Brian (@Crisco),

Welcome to the community

You could share your coding journey with the community using the #coding-journey tag
