A summary of the crypto trends for the week.
ETH2 Phase 0 testnet
Medalla is the ETH2 Phase 0 testnet, named after Medalla Milagrosa station in Buenos Aires (small compensation for not hosting Devcon).
Genesis was on 4th August, with 1.4K of us watching.
Consensus is that epoch is pronounced eepok!
There was initially low participation, no finality and not enough client diversity.
To become a Medalla validator visit the launchpad and collect POAPs for each client.
On mainnet, low participation shouldn’t be an issue with Ether at stake but we do need client diversity.

OpenZeppelin celebrated its 5 year anniversary. 
Founded on 3rd of August 2015 in Palo Alto, it was the start of the journey to make our vision for a smart contract-based, open economy a reality.
