What do you listen to when you code?

Thanks for adding this link. I should’ve added something to make it easier for people to find . Coding to this is so relaxing imo. Big fan of electro-swing too, but it’s too stimulating for me to get into a flow state.

What do you think after listening to it @abcoathup ?

Hi @Jshanks21,

I like it, though I find lyrics distracting.

That makes sense. I usually do too. But I’ve listened to them so often that the lyrics tend to blend into the background for me when I zone out.

Today I am listening to:

This takes me back to travelling by overland truck through Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda in the early 2000’s. There were only a few tapes (yes cassette tapes) for the stereo and we played this over and over.

The other tape I remember playing was from S Club 7, but my friend managed to wrestle it off me and it is gone forever.

Its a Cake sort of day:

I am back listening to Cake.

If you miss office background noise you could try this:

I’m listening mostly to Badly Drawn Boy either on head phones whilst I am working or as family background music. It takes me back to when we lived in Clapham in London in the early/mid 2000’s:

I am listening to Reach by SClub7 (though I don’t know if I ever watched the video clip)

In honor of OpenZeppelin Contracts reaching 8000 stars.

Today I am blasting The Cure and remembering the 90’s.

Old s‪kool U2

Listening to the new album by Badly Drawn Boy on repeat:

@abcoathup thank you the baroque is perfect for me

i think that the music without the lyric is the better option. Listen to lyric music is hard to focus sometime

It’s Monday morning, so time for some poolside and dreaming of warmer weather (hopefully only a month or two away).

I just started playing Michael Buble’s Christmas album on repeat:

For me clearly it is lofi songs with small amounts of lyrics. The “Strange Fruits” have my favourite lofi-songs (Strange Fruits).
But I also enjoy the “Old songs but it’s lofi” playlists on youtube (Old songs but it’s lofi)!

I have checked retrowave songs, and I really like those. Will probably introduce them also to my list.

thank you @Jshanks21!

Glad you enjoy it @Krylli96! Thank you for the shares too! I listen to retrowave on the reg, but lofi is always welcomed when coding and a good change of pace for me.

The old songs in lofi are hot :fire: btw!
