Okay, just look at the tutorial I wrote above, hope you can verify your contracts with it.

Any chance you can try it for me please?

Thank you so much! its works

If you followed all steps, but it does not work, I will have a try.

Hi Skyge ! First of all.. thank you to everybody for support this beautyfull and awesome project... im writing because i need some help to verify on BSCSCAN that is the same as the ETHERSCAN my token, my issue is that i cannot verify the code because i deployed the contract NOT in "flatten mode" but with the code that the wizzard provide, then i made a flatten version of the smartcontract and try to verify but i got this !

this is my flatten code

 *
 * This implementation is agnostic to the way tokens are created. This means

 * TIP: For a detailed writeup see our guide
 * https://forum.zeppelin.solutions/t/how-to-implement-erc20-supply-mechanisms/226[How

 *
 * We have followed general OpenZeppelin Contracts guidelines: functions revert
 * instead returning `false` on failure. This behavior is nonetheless
 * conventional and does not conflict with the expectations of ERC20
 * applications.
 *
 * Additionally, an {Approval} event is emitted on calls to {transferFrom}.
 * This allows applications to reconstruct the allowance for all accounts just
 * by listening to said events. Other implementations of the EIP may not emit
 * these events, as it isn't required by the specification.
 *
 * Finally, the non-standard {decreaseAllowance} and {increaseAllowance}
 * functions have been added to mitigate the well-known issues around setting
 * allowances. See {IERC20-approve}.

Thank you very mutch !!

Hi, actually, I really do not recommend to verify contracts via flattening all contracts into a single contract, I would like to use plugin to verify contract, such as Hardhat or Truffle, it is really easy and convenient.

Please provide your contract address.

Hi Skyge ! thank you for your help, this is the smartcontract address 0x**********************************************************************(changed for provacy)

I try truffle-flattener, but the compyler give me some error, so i use this other version of truffle-flattener
npx github:fedeb95/truffle-flattener contracts/smartContract.sol > smartContractFlattened.sol
it works but i miss something .... i think that maybe my mistake is in the correct use of https://abi.hashex.org/... anyway thank you for your precious help !
https://bscscan.com/address/0x**********************************************************************(changed for privacy)

yesssss ! i did it ... i use the remix method that you describe at the very top of this post, i was wrong because i left the optimization flag selected... i deselect it and it works !
the next time i will use te truffle verify plugin...
next step to timeLock protection!

Thank you to all the team...
A big hug from Italy !

Thanks for your time here. This is a great resource, I liked how the introduction to the flattener plugin on remix. It was a lack of understanding of the ABI encoding, that brought me to your post. I followed the link to the post by @BSC_Talk which was also very good. In remix I can see all the functions that need passed via contract verification, but the abi webtool has confused me as I do not understand to why a function needs a value for an argument that would only be passed when the function is called.
Not yet anyway.

How was it done? Ive followed this to a T, and am getting that same error code. What was the answer?

I am not sure what do you mean.
Generally speaking, if your contract has parameters for the constructor, you need to provide these encoded parameters to verify.

Hi, welcome! :wave:

Do you mean you can not verify your contracts even though you have followed the tutorial above.

A post was split to a new topic: How to update token info on the BSCScan

I solved my problem by verifying through hardhat. Specifically, it was about the arguments.

Thanks for the reply Skyge.

Are both the constructor (Name & Abbreviation) arguments strings ?

contract SetupToken is ERC20PresetMinterPauser {
    constructor() ERC20PresetMinterPauser("AnotherTry", "ATY") {
    }
}

Thanks for your time.

Update::
As far as I can see in the constructor both those arguments are strings as in the flattened version below they are predefined with the strings name and symbol.

    constructor(string memory name, string memory symbol) ERC20(name, symbol) {
        _setupRole(DEFAULT_ADMIN_ROLE, _msgSender());
        _setupRole(MINTER_ROLE, _msgSender());
        _setupRole(PAUSER_ROLE, _msgSender());
    }

My attempt as shown in the ABI encoder failed. However much to my surprise I was able to verify using the flattened contract alone and simply leaving the ABI.

Much to learn, I'm looking, I'm doing it! Next is why the DEFAULT_ADMIN_ROLE is not assigned.

Hello Cainuriel
Did you ever find out why you got that error ?
Thx

In particular, I don't know which error you mean. The problem I had was with the arguments. And the direct verification in the scan was not working for me. So I did the hardhat verification tutorial where I had trouble slash an argument when using the Powershell console.

Summarizing. If you want to verify correctly use hardhat and scann key. That is my advice.

Thanks I will try one of the many tutorials I have seen hardhat. I did have the same error message, that you got following the tutorial. I was surprised to find I did not need it in the end and verified without it.

Thanks for your reply.

AccessControl includes a special role, called DEFAULT_ADMIN_ROLE, which acts as the default admin role for all roles. An account with this role will be able to manage any other role, unless _setRoleAdmin is used to select a new admin role.

  //   `dividendOf(_user) = dividendPerShare * balanceOf(_user)`.
  // When `balanceOf(_user)` is changed (via minting/burning/transferring tokens),
  // `dividendOf(_user)` should not be changed,

  //   `dividendOf(_user) = dividendPerShare * balanceOf(_user) + dividendCorrectionOf(_user)`,
  // where `dividendCorrectionOf(_user)` is updated whenever `balanceOf(_user)` is changed:
