Running a DAO with OpenZeppelin Governor v5 – UI Options and Tally Support?

Hi OpenZeppelin Community,

We’re planning to launch a DAO and are considering using the new features in OpenZeppelin Contracts v5, especially for governance. However, it seems that Tally currently supports only up to Governor v4.x and may not yet be compatible with v5.

Our questions:

  1. Are there any other UI options or platforms that support OpenZeppelin’s Governor v5 for managing and interacting with a DAO? We're looking for something that can provide proposal management, voting, and execution tracking as seamlessly as Tally does.
  2. Is there any update or roadmap from Tally regarding future support for OpenZeppelin v5? We’d like to understand if it’s better to wait for potential updates or consider using v4 for now.

Or should we stick with v4 for better compatibility and switch to v5 in the future as the ecosystem catches up?

Thanks for any insights or recommendations!

Hi, welcome to the community!

I think Tally does support v5.x, you can have a look at their docs: https://docs.tally.xyz/user-guides/smart-contract-compatibility/openzeppelin-governor and if you have any issues, I think you can ask at their Discord
