I had the same problem with a browser that had a Remix IDE overloaded with contracts.

However, I don't think it is the volume of contracts.
Can you confirm if your IDE Remix has also been on your tab for some time.

The problems came with the new metamask update.
I think there is some implementation that doesn't quite work.

What's the solution?
Use a new browser and use a new IDE Remix, clean of contracts and use.

What browser do you use?

If you use chrome, and I think it works the same with other browsers too, you can create as many sessions as you want, and in them, as many metamask as you need.

Use a new browser and get a new IDE Remix.
You will see that you will connect perfectly and traslate your contracts from older one.

If MetaMask isn't seeing your account, try these steps:

  1. Check if your wallet is properly connected.
  2. Update MetaMask to the latest version.
  3. Ensure you're on the correct network (like Ethereum Mainnet).
  4. Select the right account in MetaMask.
  5. Restart your browser.
