Verify Proxy Contract

Verify Proxy Contract

To verify the proxy contract on Etherscan we can follow the instructions below. (I have already verified the proxy on Rinkeby, Ropsten, Kovan and Goerli):

Deploy contract

$ oz create
✓ Compiled contracts with solc 0.5.15 (commit.6a57276f)
? Pick a contract to instantiate Counter
? Pick a network ropsten
✓ Contract Counter deployed
All contracts have been deployed
? Call a function to initialize the instance after creating it? No
✓ Setting everything up to create contract instances
✓ Instance created at 0x965C43b3fd1F2011439125C1748C944DD7D99A2f

Flatten Proxy (AdminUpgradeabilityProxy) contract

Flatten the Proxy contract using Truffle Flattener
(if your project doesn’t use Truffle, you can run truffle init to create a truffle-config.js file that should be deleted after flattening).

$ npx truffle-flattener ./node_modules/@openzeppelin/upgrades/contracts/upgradeability/AdminUpgradeabilityProxy.sol > FlatProxy.sol

FlatProxy.sol

The flattened proxy contract is as follows:

Fix the constructor arguments by removing the bytes preceding the first lot of zeroes and the closing bracket

Set the EVM version to Constantinople: https://github.com/OpenZeppelin/openzeppelin-sdk/blob/de895221ffeb8a99a5314d0b203db2580a2074f7/packages/lib/truffle-config.js#L19

The following constructor arguments need to be modified:

Change them to remove the leading bytes, so that there is 24 0’s prior to the logic address found in .json config file.
Remove the trailing bracket.
